  Human rights are characterized as a collection of basic human rights and fundamental freedoms which, despite race, class, sex, ethnicity, and nationality, are entitled to every human being. These rights shield us from immorality and are protected by both municipal and international law from the day we are born until the day we breath our last.⁣ ⁣ Human right violations on the other hand can be defined as a form of failure caused by a country or a state to ensure the protection of our basic human rights and fundamental freedoms. These also include the failure to avoid violations committed by private individuals (i.e. domestic violence).⁣ ⁣ With us living in 2021, it is quite alarming for someone like me to notice the numerous violations of human rights taking place around the world today.
